This year
“National Pharmacy Week” has been celebrated on 25th
November,2006 jointly by Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Bengal
Branch and Dr B C Roy College of Pharmacy & Allied Health Sciences
at the college Premises, Durgapur.
This year a week long celebration has been started in
West Bengal
on 19th November at Madhusudan Mancha, Kolkata, by the
Indian Pharmaceutical Association (Bengal Branch). The member of the
celebration committee has organized “Scientific Day” at Dr.
B.C .Roy College of Pharmacy & Allied Health Sciences, Durgapur, a
sister concern of Dr. B.C. Roy College of Engineering and
Management, Durgapur. Dr.S.Kumar, Director of M & HS, Durgapur Steel
Plant has inaugurated the Function by lighting the lamp.
Prof. Dr.S.Chakraborty, Principal of this college, has delivered
welcome address. Dr. Netai Paramanik, Prof.,
School of Tropical
Medicine, Kolkata, has delivered a lecture on “Vector Borne
Diseases” which is a burning problem at present.
Prof. Dr. A
Mukherjee, Prof., Dept of Pharmaceutical Technology, Calcutta
University has offered a nice speech on “Carrier Options for
Pharmacy Graduates”.
Dr. Dipankar Datta, an eminent Pharmaceutical
Technologist, Vice President of Endo Pharmaceuticals New York,
U.S.A. has narrated his learned thoughts regarding present status of
Pharmacists in
U.S.A.
Dr.M.P.Rana,
Secretary of I.P.A., Bengal Branch enlightened the audience about “Role
of Pharmacists” in today’s world.
